What is in a Name?

‘What is in the name?’ is a popular saying and is used time and again. It is around the time of the birth of a baby, either before or after it, that the parents and the emotionally attached relatives choose a name for the child. The name of the child holds prime importance for the mother as it flashes spontaneously in the mind of the mother, in particular and often she speaks it up so fondly.

Many a times a list of names is prepared to choose from and the suggested names from different friends and relatives are noted down. Often the very close relatives give the child a name of their own liking and thereon call the baby by that name only, throughout the life.

The parents very carefully go through the list of names, several times and then finally choose a name. This name although they may think that they have selected by exercising their free will, is in fact the one and only name fitting the Destiny and is guided by the Divine source.
