The Spirit in the daylight

Has anyone ever thought that spirits would roam in the daylight? Firstly are there spirits and ghosts? I never ever dreamed that I would make an encounter with a spirit and that too in the broad daylight. Being a teacher of Science who only believed in matter it never crossed my mind that spirits existed. I knew of the different forms of energy and that they could convert from one form to another under differing conditions, but an energy in the spiritual form? No it cannot be and it was out of my scope of knowledge.
It all started on a normal school day, when one of my colleagues informed me of the accidental death of a former student of ours. I could not recollect the face of the boy though his name rang a bell. The whole matter came to a close when I busied myself with work for the day. When the school bell rang for dismissal, my colleague gave me a lift in his car back home. He happened to take the same route where the accident occurred in the wee hours that morning. As he took the sharp bend, I saw an apparition pass by his car screen. The face looked at me smiling and communicated telepathically, " teacher can't you remember me?" His two deep dimples showing me who he was. I let out a short scream, " I know who the boy is!" My colleague almost jumped off his seat. What! What! he exclaimed.
