Fundamental Rights for Tourists coming into India
The Constitution of India has granted Six Fundamental Rights to the Citizens of India enshrined in the Part III of the consitution of India.
The Constitution also made these Fundamental Rights justiciable in nature: an infrigement or abridgement of such Rights can be rermedied by the Judiciary.This is secured by a constitutional guarantee in the form of the Right to Constitutional remedy which itself is one of the Fundamental Rights.Any citizen can approach the Supreme Court of India under the Article 32 and the High Courts of the respective States of the Union under the Article 226 of the Constitution of India against infringement of such Fundamental Rights.
While some of the Fundamental Rights are available only to the citizens of India, some of them are available to citizens as well as foreigners on the Indian soil.
So a foreign tourists visiting India can enjoy these Fundamental Rights. The Fundamental Rights available to Tourists coming to India are:
Article 14. Equality before the Law and the Equal protection of the Laws.
Article 20. Protection in respect of conviction in ex-post facto Laws,double punishment and self incrimination.
Article21. Protection of Life and Personal Liberty against action without authority of Law.
Article 23. Right against exploitation.
Article 25. Freedom of Religion.
Article 27. Freedom as topayment of Taxes for promotion of any particular religion.
Article 28. Freedom as to attendance at religious institutions or worship ain State Educational Institutions.
