Tackling with obesity
Obesity can be defined as a medical condition characterized by storage of excess body fat. It is natural that our body stores fat under the skin and around the organs and joints. The excessive deposition of adipose tissue or too much fat in the body is associated with a variety of health problems. It not only shortens the life span of a person but also leads to a wide range of irreversible disorders, such as breathlessness, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, stroke, arthritis, and some forms of cancer.
The chief cause of obesity is an intake of calories beyond the usual body needs. When the calories from food intake equal the calories of energy the body uses, weight remains constant. But in case more than required calories are consumed than required by the body, then the body stores those additional calories as fat thus causing weight gain. Accordingly by consuming about 3,500 calories more than what our body needs will result in a weight gain of 0.45 kg (1lb) of fat.
Other causes of obesity may be genetic inheritance, hormonal imbalance in the body, hyper tension, imbalance in diet, tensions and worries may also contribute to obesity. As a matter of fact, excessive sleep or no sleep may also result in being over weight.
Nature plays a great role in deciding a person’s body type and it is also that one should only consume natural food products rather than artificial food or flavored commercial food from the market.
Nature can cure almost all diseases. Thus it is also simple, effective, scientific medicine for prevention and cure of obesity. To tackle obesity we need proper nutrition, plenty of exercises and a healthy attitude, which not only builds strong immunity, but also prevents obesity and also forms an effective barrier against many diseases.
