Keep Working When the Account Says $0.00

As I get more and more successful online I get more people asking how I do it. This is certainly okay, however many people struggle with the same issue. They go to their Google accounts and the other sites that pay directly and they check them regularly. They find that their account says $0.00 and they become discouraged. I understand, I have accounts that are similar in nature. It is discouraging to have made nothing or very little for all of your hard work.

How does one continue on in the face of what feels like defeat?

1)Stop Checking While it isn't easy to do you have to stop checking. I know that this is really hard to do (I still want to check my Google Adsense every fifteen or twenty minutes hoping for another click as well), but this is behavior that wastes time and encourages disappointment. Instead check your accounts one time a week, either the beginning or the end of the week.

2)Rejoice in Your Achievements While a penny or two isn't much, you need to rejoice in every little bit. It starts out painfully slow, but your penny this month might be twenty pennies next month and so on and so forth till you are seeing dollars.

3)Don't Give Up It is easy to feel like you are getting no where and yet keep on going, but this is the key part of life. You must not give up, you must keep on working.

4)Aim for 100 If you are writing for a site that you like and you aren't seeing results keep writing. Write until you have 100 posts, blogs, or articles. Then decide if that site is worth your time. With less you might not be getting the traffic you need to make money.

5)Promote Your Work Many sites have natural traffic so that your work will get seen and isn't hard to find. Other sites don't have as much natural traffic. Either way it is a good idea to promote your work. Add links to your blogs, comment on things that are related to the topics you have written on and then leave a link back, and do other things to get your writing out there.

Remember that you can make money writing. However, you have to keep going. You have to be willing to work hard to make the money. You can do it, but it won't be easy. Following these five steps will increase your earnings and make it easier for you to keep going in the face of little or no earnings. It will happen, but you have to keep moving forward.
