Few Definitions:

Simile:

We compare two things

Connectives: As, so , like

Metaphor:

Just like simile.

The subject loses the identity.

It just becomes like the object brought fo comparison

Personification:

A lifeless thing is made to behave like a living thing.

Eg: Pride wants to achieve the much awaited success.

Hyperbole:

It is the overstatement.

Apostrophe:

A dead thing is addressed to as living.

Irony:

Words tell one thing.
Meaning is other.

Pun:

A word tells more than one thing.

Euphemism:

Say something hard in a jocular manner.

Antithesis:

To tell two opposite things together.

Eg.Man proposes god disposes.

Oxymoron:

Tell two qualities together.

Eg.He is an idiot but intelligent sometimes.

Epigram:

Two qualities linked to two different objects.

Metonymy:
Here we call a person's name in another name.

Synecdoche:
Here we call an object by another name related to the original name.
eg.Bread can said for food.
