Aztecs and Mayas used chocolate butter for healing injuries and burns. Old Indians considered chocolate as a source of spiritual wisdom, energy and potent libido lifter. As aphrodisiac and energy drink it was valuated also in the Europe. The doctors in the middle age cured hight temperature with it. The men ate chocolate for strengthening their power and the women for esier parturition. Nowdays after the years of refuse, we return to these old experiences.

According to new researches, the chocolate relaxes the psychical stress and it helps to heart. Its best ingredient is cocoa, which contains chemical substances protecting our cardio-vascular system. Cocoa also makes you feel relaxed, that is why is chocolate good treatment for lonelyness.

Studies from 2006 show that consumtion of chocolate improves memory and prolongs life. There are about 600 components in cocoa mass. It contains in very small amount chemical substances with psychoactiv effect as:
anandamine - brain lipid, which binds the same receptors as tetrahydrocannabinol from marijuana. Tetrahydrocannabinol acts upon the whole brain unlike the anandamine which effects only certain parts of brain and so is safer.
phenyletilamin - also calls "love chemical" or "love drug", which helps mediate feeling of attraction, excitement and euphoria. That is why chocolate is considered as aphrodisiac and treatment for lonelyness.
caffeine - drug, which stimulates central nervous system and cause increasing of mental alertness.
theobromine - alkaloid stimulating heart to a great degree.
It dilates blood vessels and so reduce blood pressure.
tryptophan - amino acid that is not produced by body. It helps us to make serotonin, which produces health sleep and stable mood.

Bud do not forget, that milk chocolate and white chocolate contains a lot of suggar. Best for your health is dark chocolate. It contains tree times more cocoa than milk chocolate.
