Padlasovy vyber - Englich Version

OK friends. You want it, so I will write you about my music group in English. Padlasovy vyber is amateur jazz group, but very specific. Two bearded musicians and two interesting girls found it in 1993 as music - poetry union.
First of all I have to clear the situation:
Year 1993 was four years after the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia. Velvet, because people went to streets without any guns. Nobody was killed or hurt during demonstrations. (we are very proud of it) Communistic Czechoslovakia was divided to two democratic countries: Czech Repuplic and Slovak Republic. It was huge change in our lifes. Most of idustry moved to Czech Republik and lot of people lost their jobs which they did for tens years. Moreover there was privatisation of national ownership. American influence came and we discovered homelesses, AIDS, drugs, prostitutes, poverty, pop, jazz, funky, rap, movie stars, relity shows and so on. There were reason for creating such creazy and at the same time beautiful group as Padlasovy vyber.
1, There were mostly english speaking interprets in the radios and slovak singers didn´t know how to sing modern music in our language. (see more in my article Music in the Communistic Country) In PV we played with words, we cooperated with poem writers and actors. There were always many people when we made songs.
2, We discovered new literature from west countries and new subjects of it. There were only few autors able to write such ways.(better say:There were lot of autors but only few were realy good). We used to talk short poems between the songs or poem was told in the song. So we helped to our original writers to get their work closer to people.
3, We couldn´t listen to commercial music from west.(I hated it) There was big need of our slovak music.
4, There was chaos in our society and we tried to expose the morror to this situation.
5, We finaly could express our meaning.
6, All of us liked to provoke people.
We didn´t want to be famous, we just wanted to play music we like and comunicate with people. They used to come to us after each performance and talk with us about their feelings. Lot of our fans became our good friends. I was 16 when they were recorded. If you click to Archiv rarit, you can find songs Jedna ku sto (1:100), Izbovy mag (room´s magician) and Tejto noci sen (this night dream)- they are from year 2000 and I made them with Martin.
