To Be The Eyes of Blind Child

Behavior of the blind child is quite different from normal. His eyes run around, becouse he can´t see any point, he can cocentrate to. ( This is the firs sign, according to which parents should know, their baby is blind.) He doesn´t smile so often, because he doesn´t see parent´s face. Parents should afraid of kid´s denying, what is mistake. Blind kids often fear and lay still, because they listen to sounds around and can´t see anybody to come. If parent comes to such child, he/she can speak or sing. Child will know that somebody is near and can appraises the distance of the person. He knows the mood of the parents according to the their voices. He can´t see anything, but he still hear, smell and feel. Mother should use the same parfum all the time. She shoul speak with baby while breastfeeds him or when she caresses him, for to know her voice in the most comfortable situations.
Touches are another important part of blind child´s life. It is good to give to his palm different things and materials to try. Mother can catch his hand, and help him to finger everithing around. The forniture is better to leave at the same place. Beware of sharp, hot and other dangerous things. When he is older, parents should teach him to recognise different sounds. Always tell him what is happening now.
These children use to have residual vision, which they can use. But they have to learn it. Shiny toys and toys with lights are good fot this purpose. Also the toys with very bright colors are good.
