It just hit me. That some American Idol finalists didn’t really originated from United States of America. I don’t know, but they’re not purely Americans.

1.) Michael Johns- he’s from Australia

2.) Carly Smithson- she’s Irish, so could she be from Ireland? Haha

3.) Ramiele Malubay- Philippines

4.) Chickezie- Nigeria

5.) Jason Castro- Columbia

6.) David Archuleta- His mom came from Honduras

7.) David Hernandez- his name doesn’t sound like American

8.) Syesha Mercado- the name is definitely not American

Only three could be considered hailing from original American families; the two Cooks and Miss Overmyer. Who knows that, maybe, the Cooks directly descended from Captain James Cook, who was a hundred percent British. Well, I haven’t heard of the name “overmyer” before, so I couldn’t tell what is it.
