ENCHANTED

Starring: Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Amy Adams

At first, it’s some kind of a Disney classic movie. As usual, a princess (Giselle), was having a song and dance number with her animal friends when her prince (Edward) came, and they fell inlove at first sight and decided to get married. But then, there goes the twist. Edward’s stepmother didn’t want him to marry Gisele, because she would be the new queen. I don’t know how it would appen, but it seems that when a prince get married, he would become a king. And the evil step mom never want that.

So what ESM (evil stepmom) did was she sent Gisele to New York City, in present time, before their wedding. Gisele had a hard time in New York city, and I don’t know if it’s because she’s innocent or she’s just stupid.

Gisele roamed around New York City, she’s been harassed, been laughed at, and been robbed. You know, when she tried to rest with the homeless man in the garbage pile, the man grabbed her tiara and ran off. Of course, she tried chasing it, but her dress was so heavy and all, plus a princess is supposed to be helpless, so she didn’t caught up with the man. Then, she bumped into a lawyer, Robert.

Robert and his six-year old daughter were on a cab when they saw Gisele in a palace billboard. Morgan was so amazed with her, and she thinks that Gisele was a princess. They took Gisele home. Gisele stayed with them, temporarily, while she waits for Edward to rescue her. You know, she’s like Snow White, she asked help from the animals to clean up Robert’s apartment. The only problem was, Gisele asked help from wrong kind of animals. You wouldn’t like it if you see smelly rodents washing your dishes, and roaches clean up the bath tub. Ew to the bones.

You might also wonder where Gisele gets her everyday clothes. Let me tell you that she cuts from Robert’s curtain to make her dresses. After few days, Edward was also in the city. That was really fun. He thought that a bus was a monster.

Edward found Giselle by the help of the magic mirror (television) and things went wrong. They found out that they’re not inlove with each other. Edward’s stepmom made it to the scene, but died later (she fell from the Empire state building). Robert and Gisele got married, so was Edward and Nancy, Robert’s fiance.

The movie was good, I like the plot, and the transition. You know, from 2d to reality, and the antics was so funny, Morgan was so cute and adorable, Amy Adams and James Marsden have a good singing voice. I almost forgot James played Cyclops in Xmen, because of the 16th century costume. I wasn’t really used to that, and in addition to that, his electric blue eyes were visible.

Amy Adams did a very good job of acting as Gisele. What do you think that the classic Disney princesses have in common? Lemme tell you that they all have singing voice; all of them were beautiful and soft spoken, and … and I don’t know if it’s stupid or innocent, but they’re indeed helpless. You know, Cinderella just cried when her stepmom locked her up.

I could give 9 and a half out of ten stars
