I’m really glad I didn’t die. The force is so with me. Well, sometimes.

These past few weeks, I was really, really busy. You know, with our research papers and scholastic activities. I thought I couldn’t make it. Well, it’s not all done yet but we’re almost there.

I had my last P. E. class for this semester last Martedi. Great. I had few strikes and the rest were good spares. Anyway, that class isn’t bad as I thought before. I gained few friends and learned bowling. At least there’s a new sport that I’m good at.

Attending bowling class wasn’t a total great loss at all, because Yasser (the hottest guy in my school) was there. I also became good friends with Jack and Rachel (my lanemates) plus I had more bonding time with Arpee.

The most frightening part in my week was that Summer Soltice play. What the heck! I was assigned in a group with five varsity members (Lendyl, Christian, Raydan, Jam, Jomar), an enigmatic (Gerald), a gay (Ernest), and three more people I’m not friends with (Jade, Mark and Banares). My head almost burst with stress because we haven’t had even a single practice. Everyone was too busy to show up. I really tried my best to be a good leader (although I wasn’t appointed nor even voted) but I couldn’t. If there’s a God, He’s testing my patience.

First, I scheduled our practice Sunday before last. No one showed up including me. I told them that I broke my shoulder (well, almost) during a game. I didn’t told them that it’s not an official game, and I was just playing with Charles. Anyway, they totally don’t care. We’re really hoping that the Summer Soltice play would not take place because of that La Naval occassion. I prayed for a storm, but the so-called God didn’t gave the thing we needed in order to cancel up the show.

So then, we had a chop-chop practice last Mercoledi, the day after the show. I attended first the volleyball training, then went to meet my group up in te catwalk. I’ve spotted highschool students who were playing chess and approached them right away after I greeted Gerald, Jade and Ernest.

Honestly speaking, I was hoping that Lendyl would show up. Never mind the other tall guys (have I mentioned that I’m so fond of six-footers?), it’s Lendyl who really matters most. I asked one of the highscool students if I could play chess with him. He agreed so I absorbed myself into that challenging game. Challenging, in a way that I was so tired (because of the volleyball training), stressed-out (because I was so worried that my groupmates won’t show up) and I haven’t played for, like months.

I was minding my own monkey business with the kid; I was winning when Lendyl showed up. That’s when I started to lose. As far as I could remember, my subjects of infatuation should boost my morale, but seeing him made me lose more pieces. He sat down next to me and I started asking him about his team mates. Darn it! He doesn’t even know a thing about them or where are they. I asked him to text them, which was a wrong move and it made the kid go for the queen to queen. Lendyl even joined the game. You know what desperate chess players do if they can’t play. I just found myself checked mate. I mean, my king was cornered.

We started the practicing and I taught Jade the choreograpy. I was so embarassed because Nikki, Mark, Lendyl, Gerald and Ernest were watching. I forced them not to watch, but all of them were peeking when I was not looking. I called it a wrap and we all went out to photocopy our revised lines. It’s just me, Gerald, Ernest and Lendyl. It was raining outside when we went out. I was hoping again that Lendyl would bring out his umbrella (I remember seeing one, when he cleaned up his bag before a Lit Class started), but hell no. It was Gerald who offered me the umbrella I took anyway, even the rain was not that harsh. We printed it out and went home. Gerald walked me to the bus. He asked me where I was living and I told him. Then he asked me if I travel with Lizzie. It was obvious that he likes Lizzie. Lizzie once told me that Gerald asked her to have lunch with him, and even asked me what to do. I told Lizzie to accept Gerald’s offer because he is nice (in enigmatic way, of course) and it’s not that bad. Only Lizzie didn’t think that someone asked me out for lunch. But she asked anyway, and I told her it’s Sean. How stupid. I should’ve never agreed to eat lunch with that idiot.

Anyway, I went home straightly prepared for the Summer Soltice play.

The next day (Ottobre 4) was the most stressful day of the week. I felt dreadful. I ran late into Sociology Class because I left my house by almost seven in the morning in order to use Internet’s free texting service. I went to the viewing right away to attend my Introduction to Communication Class. Roa just let us watch an old reality television show from the United States. Its title was “Road Rules” and I didn’t really get it why they named their show, Road Rules. Whatever.

Since Political Science class was cancelled, I just went to the Computer Laboratory. Then, I ate my lunch with a pack of Cheese Rings and a large size Slurpee from 7-11. I waited in room 211 for my groupmates. I don’t know wo showed up first, but I was so sure that I dragged him out of the room the moment I saw him. I just forgot who it was.

We went to the play’s venue and everyone started to arrive. Jomar was acting like a headcase. He borrowed my skirt (the one I used in my exotic tambourine dancing days) and started dancing like crazy. Well, I’ve never talked to him before, but I really thought he was nice. He chatted with us (Jade and me). He said that he liked Jade. I thought he was offended when I laughed because of his pronunciation of Lendyl’s name. I swear, he says “Leen-del” instead of “len-deel”. He shrugged and said, “It’s just the same” and looked away. God. Me and my big mouth.

I fixed our tracks and handed it to Paulo. When it’s our turn, I told Jomar to lead the procession and we enjoyed our moment. It was very hilarious. The hall roared with laughter from the audience. I just messed up with the choreography but Mark make it up for me by cartwheeling.

When Mark needed to be ressurected from dead, he slithered while Jade and I were doing it. There’s a scene we need to beat up Gerald and Jomar did it like the late Chris Benoit.

We took Ernest (it’s part of the play), so Gerald and Lendyl had to get him, but they did it the wrong, but sort of funny way. They held his feet and hands like a roasted pig. Jomar tried to get me inside the skirt but the rush of excitement prevented me from staying there. That bloody-hell play was over.

Before going out of the hall, Jomar asked me to help him with his homework, which I found very easy. I volunteered to do it because he was Lendyl’s friend. Who knows, Jomar might return the favor of helping me with my way to Lendyl (Ha! I wish!).

I helped Rosalie with her homework and went home right after.
