Music in the Communictic Country

Imagine the world without pop music.You have never heard about Madonna or Sting. You´ve never listened Eric Clapton "Layla" or "Teen spirit" from Nirvana. Imagine, there is no music shop in the whole country. There is no tour of any star or promo of any album. Only music you hear is from radio, which is strictly controled by leader political party in the coutry.
This unbelievable image were reality in my country before year 1989. The most popular were folk songs. Every modern music was suspected. Young groups, whose wanted to play some concert in local cultural houses, had to play before special commission, which controled their text and performance.
In spite of this, there were some music groups, now known as alternative. Some concert of them were alowed , but with agents whose made a list of presented people. Some good musicians ran away to capital coutries.
How funny were discos at 6 o´clock for youth with supervision of their parents. How we smile watching videos were shouldn´t be shown any love or naked body. What did they sing about? - flowers, mothers, children, beauty of life and girls probably of all names.
Now, it is funny for us, but before 19 yaers, it was reality.
