The state of Sikkim is nestled in the Himalayas with exceptional natural beauty and rich wealth of Alpine Meadows,Rhododendrons,Orchids,Cactus,butterflies and birds.There 're around 650 variety of Flowers and approximately 550 species of birds.That's why this state is referred to as botanists and tourist paradise.

Major crops of Sikkim are rice,maize,millet ,wheat and barley.On the other hand cardamom,Mandrin,orange,apples and potatoes are cash crops.
Sikkim is also rich with minerals like Zinc and Lead.
Local handy crafts such as carpet weaving,wood carving,silver work and hand made paper are in demand.
A Large part of population derive their economic sustence from cross-border trade with Tibet through Nathu La -an all weather passage,situated at the hight of 14,000 ft.in Himalayas.
The better and proper month of tourism in the state is first weeks of March to May and from October to December.
