Writing Genius

Being a literary laureate and spending a literary life is perhaps an unhappy experience. This is because if you are a writing genius and can write up pieces of articles and essays which could move people, thus you must suffer the penalty of being a genius. And if you have this talent of writing, then there are so many cares and worries prominent to the men of words and letters.

At every level of writing a writer feels disappointment due to his inability to express himself to others, his thoughts and ideas, which many may not approve of. Besides this there are pangs of composition and a continuous disapproval at his inability to reveal and difficulty of gaining public ear.

Young writers and poets live by the hope and belief that whence they would write and recite a poem at the world’s feet and thus and then they would be recognized and in return get the laurel crown. And for that they have just to push that piece of work to print and publish to be acknowledged and to be in the lime light.

On the other hand the people at the editorial desk are the ones who can never be convinced easily and they are practical people who are not at all anxious about placing the literate work before public before it goes into much scrutiny and checks and edits.

Once the work is published a writer has to be face with the critics who are always thirsty for your scalp. They are not much more serious than the bye play clowns in a circus and try to beat round the bush by lamenting upon the weaker points, which by all means are a writers best bets and plus points to catch the fancy of the readers.

Undoubtedly the most effective way to deal with criticisms and insults would be to bear the sufferings in silence and not to make any public statement or corrections as it could flare up the things. Perhaps silence is the only safeguard as it is the only dignified protest against any insult and offence.

You are absolutely right Dhawanbm

There are some people who cannot write , yet can critcize or go legally against the writer. A writer's freedom needs to be protected in a democratic country. As you said the best way of handlinga criticsm is simply ignoring it.Well written.

It is hard work to earn with a pen

Most of the writers stop writing due to less money in this field.

thanx madhu for this, but I seriously feel that one shouldnt be

dissapointed at the way writers are treated and continue to imagine and write your imagination and express it freely without bothering about the critics and awards or monetary benifits. I myself am writing only for writing purposes only and only to expressmyself to the world.

thanx!
