It’s not however possible for the editorial department to publish all received letter, because some of them are not printable and some of them have nothing important to say, at all. So, the editorial department selects only those letters which fit to publish or can be made fit to publish.

How the unfit letters made fit? As the Newspaper editorial department always faced the scarcity and limitation of space some letters which are excessively long are curtail down to the suitable length. And what about those letters which are generally of short length? Well, short letters, if they are good and relevant, have better chance of publication.

There are some writers, who really work like professionals; they work hard in research and drafting. These kinds of letters simply can’t be rejected in one single thought. But the editorial department can’t let anyone dominate the space. Everybody should get their fair chance. Often comes such letters which are written badly and seem too complicated and in comprehensive due to high argument or wrong spelling and grammatical mistakes. Some of them just want to show-off their control over language and richness of word power. But the department has to do lots of hard work to re-write them in such a manner that the aim, purpose or the intention of the writer and his letter couldn’t be compromised.
