Makes You Think

I am half Filipino, and as a Filipino we were taught to be good Catholics. Now, I am turning 23 and am very liberal. Everyone also knows that the Philippines is known for its poverty and political corruption. Now the good priests and arch bishops and what not of the Catholic church want to ban advertisements for condoms and preach that using any form of contraceptive is an act against God and the natural process of life, making others feel deeply ashamed and even embarrassed about their own bodies and sexuality.

Okay, now let me ask you this. Is it wrong to inform teens and young adults and even married couples about the importance of safe sex and family planning? The country is over populated as it is, and with not enough jobs these people have no means of feeding their children. And lets not forget the good priests rallying against the government for the hungry and the poor. When one family planning seminar could've helped or wearing one condom.
I ask again. What ever happened to the freewill that was given to us by God upon our birth?
