Sea Salt

I love my kitchen and I like to cook delicious food. I salt and pepper, and season everything that I cook, that needs it of course. And I think that anything homemade beats anything that is store bought in a can, jar or any kind of a container.
But my family has a history of high blood pressure, my dad died of stroke. So, I try to keep things lightly salted.
I do not like salt substitutes. I think that they are as bad as salt.
I have always wondered about sea salt. The sea salt is sodium chloride. The only differences between sea salt and normal table salt are that sea salt of course comes from the ocean while table salt comes from salt mines is close to pure sodium chloride. Although they taste pretty similar, the big difference between ordinary table salt (sodium chloride) and sea salt is that the latter has a whole bunch of other stuff in it besides just sodium chloride. Sea salt tends to have other minerals in it depending on the region in which it was manufactured which cause sea salt to have a different texture and slightly different taste. As a matter of fact the sea salt has natural iodine in it.
So, it is better than other salt which uses synthetic iodine. Sea salt is thought to be healthier and more flavorful that traditional table salt.
