India - The Tourist’s Paradise
India is the tourist's paradise. There is do doubt in it. Some countries in the world have nothing about to boast of. There is no historical building, no temple, place of art or architecture, no beautiful scenes or sights of nature. Some countries have one thing or the other. But India is rich in all these things. It is indeed tourists paradise. Kashmir is the Switzerland of India known for its beautiful mountains and valleys. The Taj is most famous historical building having international reputation. The caves of Ellora and Ajanta are the unique examples of art and architecture. These are some of the attractive features of this count which are victed by thousands of tourists every year fro every corner of the world.
Of all the beautiful buildings in India, the Taj at Agra is superb and matchless. All the head of government diplomat who come to India visit this monument. It is internationally known building and considered one the-wonders of the world. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal on the bank of the river Yamuna. Its beauty, grace and grandeur cannot be described in words. One of the foreign literary men has called it 'tear in marble'. It is a living example the like of which we do not find in, the pages of history. It is an immortal building and one of the best mausoleums of the world.
India has many centres for pilgrimages. Haridwar is one of them. Varanasi, 8adrinath, Kedarnath,Puri,Amritsar, VIshno Devi-these are some of the places which are famous as centres for pilgrimages and lakhs of people go to these places and see the temples there which are pieces Hindu architectures. There are temples in the South, which have been dug out of the rocks. Tourists going to these places are surprised seeing their intricate engraving work.
