The trip to Kievo-Pecherskaja laurels.(Ukraine)

Two weeks ago I spent in Kiev, the capital of the Ukraine, five days. It was a business trip. So, after signing the special documents which connected to the future contract, I decided that I must have some rest. I have never been in Kievo-Pecherskaja laurels. I heard much about the place from my friend who lived in Kiev, but I got used to have my own opinion about thing that people told me.

Kiev is an ancient and very beautiful city. It is a “Mecca” of the Orthodox Church in the Ukraine and Pecherskaja laurels is the cradle of Kiev. Laurels are located on the right coast of the river Dnepr. The best way to reach Laurels is to use the taxi. Pay attention, that the taxi in the Ukraine more inexpensive than in most European capitals. But you can save some money and use underground, but in that case you will have some additional ride on a trolley bus, which are not so comfortable in the Ukraine.
Laurels are the complex of temples, museums and kilometers of caves with underground churches. Tickets to these museums are sold directly at the entrance to each of them; for an input fee to caves instead of the ticket you must buy a candle.

It is not reasonable to use services of guides from the Excursion Company, because you can get detailed guidebooks in several languages and wander along Laurels independently. The complex is simply magnificent and I should recommend to everybody to devote all the day for acquaintance with Laurels.
