Cold Start to ICL Cricket this time.

The Indian Cricket League, ICL’s Edelweiss Challenge began with a dismal show here at Panchkula (Chandigarh). The charms of Bollywood star, Neha Dhupia failed to attract much spectators. She fell flat in contrast to wide spread publicity it had amassed before kick off.

The stands were almost empty at the Tau Devi lal Stadium of Panchkula. Last year this very cricketing event ICL held in December, saw packed stands with enthusiastic cricket fans crowding the venue.

Twenty – 20 cricket should have been a power packed punch of play for the cricketing buffs. Rather it should have provided a complete package of entertainment and an exciting cricket full of excitement, but sadly it was not so this time.

May be that Neha Dhupia was no match for Kareena Kapoor’s star appeal last year or we can say that people had had enough of cricket when Team Indian beat Australia in the finals of the tri nation cricket tournament held recently.
