Exercise, Appetite and Weight Loss

When we exercise, our metabolic rate increases. In general, the more intense the exercise, the higher the body temperature, and the more likely your appetite is suppressed for several hours following exercise. It is possible that chemical substances produced in the body for 60-90 minutes after vigorous physical exercise have appetite depressant effect.

This type of appetite-controlled diet works better than special diets offered by dieticians, simply because it is more natural. After exercise we crave fruit juices to replenish water that is lost through exercise. It is better to have fresh fruit juice without loading it with sugar. It is my personal experience that I have less desire to gorge on oily food after exercise.

Thus, a reduced food requirement and intake, combined with a higher metabolic rate brought about by exercise, can result in the body weight dropping to a lower level.
