25th september,2007: Problem starts!It was the 1st day of check distribution in Singur. The checks were available at the BDO office.Around 12 noon, Becharam Manna(The convenor of Singur Krishijami Raksha Committee) was being seen around. Then it was suddenly heard that the police had arrested him.(But it was a rumour completely.No such things occured.)
Mamata Banerjee rushed to the spot and gheraod the BDO office. Gherao(barricade) lasted for almost 5 hours untill the police intervened.Actually it was really tough for police as the mass were boiling in rage. They couldn't move a stone untill 300 farmers went home to eat. After that they set to lathicharge to quell the mob. There were CPI(M) cadres, who allegedly molested mamata Bannerjee(the TMC supremo),to help the police.
