I have Fallen In love with my Sister

Love. Everybody tends to recognize ‘though it would mean, to lose one’s dignity but how could love contend the law of nature implanted to the ever growing society?

His sister closed the door. It was already late for her class that she hurriedly went to school. The destination was about 2 kilometers away and he wanted to say goodbye. The black long hair that almost reached the waist, the dazzling brisk walk he was seeing from the window and the worried face – they seemed to make him implicit what falling in love could be all about. He couldn’t tell why nor could he even tell how but one thing for certain of which he knew, his world revolved around his sister. There was only a year gap between him and hid elder sister and they both were in college. Joseph didn’t tell anyone about his very secret for he knew the consequences of such a confession and he had been trying to keep it as long as his tongue could utter and his heart could beat.

While his parents were out of town for a business matter a loud slam of the door broke in. It was late at night but he had to check the source of the commotion and there it was, his sister – drunk. Anger wreathed upon his bones that he was about to slap the face of her but how could he do such? How could he ever hurt the one that he loved?
“Joseph, are mom and dad here yet?” His sister asked.
“Not yet, mom said that they will be out for a week.” He uttered.
“Isn’t it as old as ancient times? Don’t they care for us? They keep on saying that
they will stay with us but their words have rotten!” She exclaimed.
“Look at you? Your not suppose to go home late and drunk! Come on let me take you upstairs.” He carried his sister to her room. As he was putting his sister to bed he couldn’t eradicate, he still could not and then he gave up – he slept with his sister. The terrible thing happened and he felt the mixed feeling of love and guilt. He despised himself but could not stop.

Morning came. A note was left:

Sister,

What I did was unforgivable and I don’t think I can even forgive myself. ‘Though what was done was abomination, it was made out of love. I maybe insane but it’s what I feel. I can’t even afford an apology for it can’t contend the law of nature and the society. I’m here at my apartment and I have no thoughts of coming back to house. Let my guilt and conscience allow me to live by myself from now on besides, I already asked permission to mom and she agreed. Don’t worry mom and dad will be home next week.

His tongue did not betray him from telling the words, his heart did not swindle from beating but his love did. And there was nothing left to say but, “I have fallen in love with my sister” He said.
