CHAPTER 05

This World Is Like A Big Stage

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
William Shakespeare

As the world’s great dramatist, William Shakespeare has already stated long ago, does our great inner light of intuition consider this world to be just a monopoly of drama? Is this world only a stage upon which human beings act out an illusion? Well, this very idea naturally gives one goose bumps, does it not? Yes, of course, if we look down upon our fragmented and scattered world, as if from a birds eye view, or more appropriately in these modern advanced super scientific times, a satellite view; certainly is it not true that all the activity on our planet earth resembles an eternal melodrama?

Is it also not true that every person, knowingly or unknowingly, is acting out a variety of roles that have integrated into his or her self-centered, localized, and personified psyche? Even many great literary characters have been acting out variety roles on the largest stage called ‘World’ through the persons who have been enacting them. Certainly, the activities of this world are nothing more than drama, where most people have lost themselves in the roles allotted to them via their self-centered, localized, personified psyches.

In all actuality, we are not what we perceive ourselves to be. We the people of the world are much more than we might imagine. Primarily, we are citizens of the one unified world, under the ‘United Nations’ with a significant allegiance for the welfare of the humanitarian birthrights for every member of planet earth, where we are living collectively; secondarily, then, we are citizens of an individual nation-state. A change in this order is not possible.

It is vital that all of us recognize that the problems and issues confronting the world at large should be of primary concern. If we do not first approach such concerns from a global standpoint, then regrettably, the human race will be very, very sorry. Without unity and harmony amongst the diversity, we cannot expect our Earth to be available as a home for future generations to come. I see that you do not believe this, so perhaps I can emphasize these facts to you another way. Let us remain quiet and patiently attempt to listen to our own inner light of intuition. Though you cannot or will not fully acknowledge this inner voice, listen anyway, and assess what you hear. Does the voice not say that every person should ready oneself for a greatly anticipated collective global movement that will lead to ‘the unified one world democracy’?

If this is the message that you hear, then okay, from now on let us collectively learn to resolve our differences by practicing the credo of ‘think globally and act locally’, just as the great sage Tagore and many other great masters have recommended. So, from here on out, why don’t we consider the works of the many great minds as direct challenges to each one of us to create the one unified world? In addition, let us work together with sincerity and honesty, assisting each other in fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of our world citizenship allotted to each one of us by our common mother ‘Earth’.

Let us provide our world leaders with a worldwide article of faith, which encourages them to do better things, and to carry out their true legacy. Moreover, do not consider our great world leaders to be ‘oblivion personalities’. Deep within at some level, they too understand the harshness of today’s reality and do wish to contribute to the betterment of the human race. We all must remember, every ounce of an effort, from every member of the human race, certainly counts and will assist in the transformation of our divided world into a better one unified world.

It will be a slow and steady development of the human race by way of a collaborative effort, generation by generation. Certainly in this way, one day suddenly we will have won the heart of the entire world, effortlessly and without drama. What do you say to this? The only effort involved will be to choose to walk together, hand in hand, towards a common objective vision of the ‘One Unified World’ by which even common people can attain uncommon goals with ease.

If the present and future human race is going to survive, we must get together as a collective force of universal consciousness. Tragically, it does not alter the fact that our divided world cannot endure forever as it has fallen into decline. Either it must end in complete destruction, or it must undergo a radical change right from its grassroots, by accepting a global point of view. Our Mother Earth too expects that we must learn down through the ages and behave like intelligent and evolved species.

Yet, you ask about those who continue to be “nagged” within by an endless ‘tug-of-war’ between their inner conscience and with their skeptical, ‘self-centered, localized, and personified psyche’, the voice of which has been thriving on those huge differences and divisions in terms of politics, religion, caste, color, and creed. Therefore, you wonder about those people who need some more time to think and sort it out. What if they do not wish to ‘join hands’ immediately? This is not a problem, because our sincere inner voice of intuition tells us that we are capable of waiting as long as necessary, because in truth, the unification of our world with humans living together in peace and harmony is inevitable.

You need not feel urgency or experience any external pressure. The secret is to understand and affirm that such an ideal unity exists today within us all, somewhere beyond the dimensions of our everyday reality of matter, space and time, because our inner light of universal consciousness is multidimensional and transcends our fragmented, manipulative, self-centered, localized and personified psyche. Our “collective light of universal consciousness” has been in existence since before the ‘Big bang’ or ‘The Great Creation’ itself. Just as it exists within us now, so will it continue on within our offspring, generation after generation, and ages upon ages, into eternity itself. That is why either way, it is not going to change, lose or gain anything in any way.

This idea of oneness is capable of waiting without expectations, as long as the eternal sun and earth exist. It can continue to exist within each member of the human race in the form of that all witnessing, inner light of infinite universal consciousness. Our inner light of universal consciousness is infinitely more powerful than the wholesome ignorance of discord, hatred, war, and chaos, which we see around us. All we have to do is to affirm this fact repeatedly, because we all share it equally.

Even more miraculously, this eternal vision of unity is forever ahead of us, behind us, and with us, and at every point of the brief but invaluable life of every ‘self centered, localized and personified psyche’. Have you ever felt amazement upon the realization that each unique experience, thought, and emotion of each individual person actually derives from one universal source, which indeed we all share equally without any kind of discrimination along with the wholesome of Nature? The truth behind this fact is that our own self-centered localized and personified psyches originate from an inner dimension inhabited only by the eternal infinite light of the universal consciousness.

Everyone comes to this earth to fulfill his or her humanitarian special service. In case one is forced from ones individual special service, either through not understanding one-self, or through external oppositions. Naturally they come into conflict with the order of the eternal Universal Laws and thus become dangerous to themselves and to the world around. After the self-realization of universal self-knowledge, there is no limit to the extent of the possibilities of ones efforts. As soon as one awakens into it, s/he is empowered, and all his/her self-assumed limitations cease to exist. However, ones inclination to utilize such abundant supply of insights in a positive way is limited by ones inborn capacity and social conditioning.
