Burr……….It's so cold!

On a chilly winter morning, nothing can be more pleasurable than sitting in the warmth of a quilt with a hot cup of tea. As you snug inside the quilt it gets quite difficult and daring to get out of the tepid atmosphere inside it. And if you ask me what are the two things you cannot do without, in winters? My answer would be a quilt and hot tea that is often replaced by coffee.

Luxuriating in the coziness of the quilt, inside our well covered houses; it’s really hard to imagine the life of our well covered houses it’s really hard to imagine the life of our fellow Indians, thousand of whom spend these chilly winter nights on the footpaths under the open sky. The poor little kids don’t even have the minimums necessary to face the gruesome cold. We might not be stepping on the floor without our pair of slippers, but many of them walk barefoot in the icy cold.

Giving a blanket or two to a needy may help that one person but not the thousands of others. The need of the hour is urgent and effective methods to help the poor so that they too can step ahead towards development. We need to lend them support, so that they rise above indigence to live a better life ahead.
