Live IN Today, Worry Tomorrow!

Let me in you on a secret. We usually reminisce our childhood days and wonder how we were so happy, often we choose to stick to the explanation that we didn’t have to worry at that time and we didn’t have responsibilities… so on and so forth. But that still doesn’t give us the right answer. Anyone is always his parent’s baby. Yes, we do grow up and start living our own lives but that doesn’t mean they stop caring for us. In fact with our growing responsibilities their worries too increase. When any of their children has a problem, they spend days and nights worrying and trying their level best to sort all the problems.
So if we look at the matter through the eyes of a parent holding on to the above explanation for sorrow in a person’s life, we’d be contradicting our own belief. A parent will always see his child as a child and thus we shouldn’t have anything to worry about as our parents will take care of it. But to me the correct explanation lies here…

As children we always live in our present not worried about what will happen tomorrow because we have faith and leave the rest to fate.As teenagers we spend our time planning our future which is very proficient but what we don’t realize is that instead of planning our future we start living in our future which results in dissatisfaction because one can never get hold of one’s future, it will always stay one step ahead; that’s why we call it future.

When we get old we spend our life living in the past, we love the good things and mostly try and forget the horrendous ones and still the present in such an adult’s life is being neglected. What I mean is that if only we couldn’t stop living in pasts and futures we’d have time to concentrate and enjoy our present. I’m sure most of you have read this somewhere “the present is a gift; that’s why it is called present”. I know life has its hardships but live in the present look around you you’ll always have family and friends backing you up. Don’t spend time trying to live a dream; make it a reality. I believe that the two T’s go hand in hand, i.e. teenage and trouble. It’s an irrefutable fact of life so why fret over something that cannot be falsified in the first place. No one can pre-determine his life span, and thank God for that, if the case were so we’d all be miserable thinking about death. I don’t know how short my life is but if I live in today and make the most of it when I go further in life I’ll know that whatever my past was like I tried my best and now it’s time to move on. The past will never harm you and the future should never scare you.

So, friends this is why I feel we should live in today and worry tomorrow because as a cliché goes ‘tomorrow never comes’ right?
These are all just fragments of my imagination inculcated with what I think is a strand of juvenile philosophy on my part. You are free to disagree but what ever you choose do it now and the next instant forget and don’t fret about it because the clock is ticking…TICK TOCK! TICK TOCK...
