Mahabharata and me

In Mahabharata, We all know that Yuthistra (Dharma) was crowned as the king a few years before the great war.Indraprastha, the most beautiful city was his capital. The city was so well designed and constructed by the best architects from the Indra’s world. Needless to say about the beauty of the luxury palace. The Pandavas had the best food and the costliest clothes. They truly led a happy life enjoying the height of luxury.
Then Yuthishtra lost everything in Gambling. Therefore, the Pandavas had to be in exile for 14 years .The last year they were living in disguise as poor Brahmins. What a drastic change? The princes had to live like beggars. They wore rugged clothes .They never had enough food to eat during that one year. Yet they went on to live with the hope of the future. In the end, they won the war and got back their kingdom.
When I read this in my childhood I never imagined fate would land me into a similar situation in my life. I was having a reasonably a good business before the thunder jolted on my life. Suddenly within two months, I underwent a great fall in my business. I went to a big minus, with no hopes of future. I lost money, status, relatives, and friends except my family.
At that time, I used to think of the sufferings of the Pandavas to strengthen myself. I could manage the stress and the other problems with the grace of God. I thanked God for leaving the courage and hopes in me. It took several years to come out of the problems.
Think not how many times one falls, think how many times he gets up after the falls. Falling is not a defeat, refusing to stand up is.
So dear friends never give up. Failure is just the darkness of the short night. Remember you will have a long bright sun-shiny day after.

lord krishna of mahabharata was instrumental in building up
the platform for pandavas who fought for their survival as well as lost identity and reclaim their lost dynasty! in the end when lord asked Arjun what did you see in the war. perhaps he could have not answered better by saying that my lord i could see only sudarshan chakra slaying and moving in teh whole battle field. So my dear friend pandavas are definetly a source of inspiration for you and every one but it is the almighty lord who does it all.
you are absolutely right dhawanbm
