Pollution
Pollution is one of the major problems being faced today. It has degraded our environment and has damaged all our resources. As the time passes the fossils reserves are depleting fast. At this time our renewable resources like air, water and land have turned worthless because of ever-increasing pollution. For example it can convert the most pure form of fresh water into acid rains which harms our flora and fauna, corrodes metals and denigrates historical monuments like The Taj. Pollution has the capacity of even damaging the ozone layer of the upper atmosphere which shields the planet earth from harmful effects of ultra violet radiations from sun. Pollution can alter the climatic conditions by affecting the heat balance of earth. At times pollutants have even entered the food chain and have harmed several living organisms. Thus it disturbs every biological system that renews natural resources. It affects both living and non-living resources. Our rivers, ponds, and lakes are already victims of pollution. Rivers and ponds and lakes have become the dumping grounds of not only ship wrecks or garbage but also industrial, nuclear, agricultural, chemical and insecticides thrown into them. More of we find spillage of oil tankers greatly harming the aquatic life as it does not evaporate easily.
