Pakistan in Troubled Waters

Well no one knows who the real killers are, but it is clear work of terror. The state needs to work out and introspect to ensure peace and tranquility once again prevails. Perhaps MS Benazir was the tallest leader of Pakistan who has been felled by the assassins. Being the first woman Prime Minister of a strife torn state, she had a lot to do for the country. Her charismatic personality and courage made her stand out in all Muslim countries. Definitely she could have pulled out terror struck state out of crises and restored the democracy. Military rule in Pakistan has always been a threat to democracy.
Bhutto’s assassination is barbaric and needs to be criticized. It is perhaps a great loss to all, particularly the peace loving nation like India. It is a set back to the millions of Pakistanis who eagerly awaited their beloved leader acquire the reins of the state after a long exile. Well Ms Bhutto paid the price of her life for the survival of democracy in Pakistan. It can be said, “Nobody is safe in Pakistan these days.”
