Waiting endlessly for a promotion? Always overlooked for plum projects? According to the Chinese are of Feng Shui, the wrong placement of objects in your work environment could be impeding your career.
The following may help:
1. Clear everything off your desk except for everyday things and little paperwork. Add a red or purple artifact in the southeast corner of your desk for wealth.
2. Position your desk for optimum view of the room including window and door. Have your back to a wall and not facing it (represents obstacle). DO not place the desk directly across the door or window.
3. The office door is associated with career path and should open and close unhindered. If the door sticks, you could be stuck in your position. A dirty or unused door may prevent your promotion.
4. Have plants and flowers in the workplace as the color green encourages personal and business growth. Keep the plants flourishing and replace the dying ones. Avoid cacti or sharp leaves.
5. Water symbolizes money. Keep a small fountain on your desk, but ensure the flow is never stagnant or rapid. Alternatively keep a fish tank or a vase. A goldfish symbolizes gold and attract money.
6. Career colors are blue and black. Hang a blue or black and white picture in your office. The ideal picture depicts career for example, a teacher could hang a black and white picture of laughing school children.
7. The number 6 signifies career. Put a collection of six objects ( e.g bamboos or flowers) in the northern corner of your home. Multiples of six help professional advancement.
