TV Shows.....24 * 7 Entertainment !!!

Television happens to be the best source of entertainment , these days. There are too many programs and too many channels. Best part is that all kinds of programs are being aired.There are reality shows ,24*7 news coverage, talk shows, dance-based , song-based programs ,movie based programs. Worst part is that many of them are look alikes.
Sony has hit the right cord with its viewers with reality shows like Big Boss and Indian Idol. Both the programs managed to get the viewers soaked with them. Boogie Woogie , the mother of all dance programs has been a hit as wel l.Performances are amazing and the funny lines by the witty hosts are rib–tickling. Jalak Diklaja had been a instant hit when it was started first time with celebrities dancing with a professional dance partner.
ZEE has done well with Saregama , changing its look now and then with change in hosts, judges and even the director (Gajendra) . Little champs was a big hit with music lovers and non music lovers as well.They have added a kind of drama and excitement in their every show.
Star plus has churned out some entertaining programs.Nach Baliye which is a brother of Jalak dik laja is fair enough. Kaun banega Crorepathi was an all time hit on Indian television .Star voice of India which is directed by the original director of Saregama was a hit in bits.Now its host Shaan has been replaced with one of its earlier winners.Obviously the program has lost its charm The director who has conceived hits like Antakshari and Saregama is talented.Still he is not able to deliver with this version. Its getting too boring and artificial.
Star one has done reasonably well in recent times.”Dil mil gaye ” is suddenly glueing the younger lot .Chat / fun show with Ravir &Vinay is a must watch,too funny,though sometimes sounds sensless.Koffee with Karan is a big hit in Star world.Its very unique and has nothing in common with other programs on air.
Zoom tv has been a big hit and has churned out some nice entertainment programs. Still it appears to be banal at some times.MTV and channel V are just timepass options.
Though news channels are meant to be merely news providers,they have entered entertainment domain. Aaj Tak is doing pretty well with sting stories and entertainment gossips. IbnLive is a class apart in their quality of programs. Rajeev Masand has added a charm to IbnLive with ”Now Showing”.Rajdeep Sardesai has been a hit with Star news , then NDTV and now with IbnLive .TimesNow is doing fairly well with its entertainment and news coverage.Arnam Goswamy has been a hit .And if any one wans the best chat shows on TV, the rite place is NDTV.
Sports channels are all the same.It doesn’t matter which channel we are watching, when there is a live telecast ! But Star / ESPN sports have good analytical commentary ,SetMax has entertainement mixed with Skin show from Mandira.
