Pre Birth Killing Of Girl Child

Present social consciousness of India remains unaffected from the news of pre birth killing of girl child rather we can say that our present socio – economic atmosphere is encouraging for this.

Does the birth process of girl child is different from the boy? Surely not, than why there is greed and welcome emotions are there in the society for the birth of male child and why the birth of girl child is taken as the unpleasant and undesired happening of life?

The probable might be lies in the going of away of grown up to live with in-laws relatives after the marriage. My question to supporters of these views is what they are able to do, when the only son goes abroad for the job and get settled there for the rest of the life without concerning your emotions? Why we are not taking the post marriage life of our daughter with the same perspective.

If we look into family atmosphere of a common Indian family we are sure to find, daughters are getting not so much attention and even sometimes are neglected. The future thoughts of family revolves around the son who even can persists with his demands where as the daughters never complains about their negligence or express their feelings of being ignored.

Does it was possible to have leaders like smt. Indira Gandhi, Singer like Lalata Mangeshkar or socially awaked souls like Mother Tereca, if their parents were have the same set of thoughts which most of parents seems to have or for acquiring of which our present social atmosphere is prompting?

Male child may our need but girl child is blessing of God. I recall the day of birth of our daughter [previously we are having a son and all this blessing of God we have] and words of father of one my close friend “thanks to God as waheguru blessed you with girl child and made you capable to play your role with perfection in maintaining the natural balance of human population.”

Ask the parents of grown up children to compare the satisfaction and sense of achievement under which they go after the marriage of daughter and after the son gets job are become financially stable? Surely the farmer one will be placed higher by most of the parents. My daughter got married very recently, I and all other family knows what we missing are? She was our shelter at every unpleasant moment of life and was eager to share and add flavor to our pleasure.

This is just a tiny request to all the young couples, next time don’t go for the pre birth sex test even if your parents persist for it. Do remember missing a girl child is denying the blessing of God. So friends prevent self from the pre birth killing of girl child and don’t allow time to know as the killer of yet another Indira Gandhi, Lata Mangeshkar or Mother Tereca.
