Then after a few months, she got employment in a private company in Chennai. Though he was about 75kms away from her work place, he used to visit her very often. Then he started to notice the changes in her. She began to avoid him and at one stage, he could not contact her at all. He used to wait for hours to see her on her way to bus stop after work.

Many times, she went with her boss in his car .When he could meet her on the road she did not talk to him as before. She always said she was busy and asked him not to visit her. Shankar came to me literally crying. He wanted me to talk to her and convince her to marry him at once. I really knew this would not work but for his sake, I went and met her.

She talked to me with comfort. She said Shankar was not having trust on her and hence she decided to forget him. I asked her whether she was in love with her boss. She said her boss was a married man and she had no such intentions in her. I knew she was lying. I lost my temper and could not help uttering some indecent words at her. She kept quiet and I left her cursing with all my heart.

I told Shankar this was not going anywhere. I told him there were thousands of good women around and he would definitely get a better woman soon. He went to his town after having a drink.

His love failure drastically changed his life. Drinking became his main work of the day .He got a government job. However, he was not regular to the office too. Then their parents fixed his marriage. It was about a week before his marriage his ex. love came to my office to meet me.
