"Do you want to divorce your spouse ?"(Part VI)

After getting married, usually the bride may take some time to adjust herself to the new environment in the marital home.After all human beings are driven by passions and feelings.Hence,some of them may encounter problems initially, what we call usually as starting problem.To resolve such problems, even the courts advice that both husband and wife should speak with open mind and exchange their problems and difficulties mutually. Some times a big tidal wave may come, surface and very soon recede.The secret of life actually lies in the art of adjustment and having a complete understanding of each other.Sometimes,there may be be some problems that remain unsolved and intriguing, for which we should seek the help of elders, who have years of experience behind them and follow their advice.

Despite of taking all the above steps,suppose still problems persist either for the bride or the bridegroom, they may try to solve them by convening a panchayat of close relatives and elders.Even then the problem persists Then only, either of the spouse should approach the court.

In India,since people belong to different religions they have separate personal laws to get their marital problems solved and follow.In the case of Hindus,the people has to follow the Hindu Marriage Act.The people who follow all forms of Hindu religion, like, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs and all other sub sects and offshoots of Hindu religion, should follow the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, for their marital problems, if any.

In the case of muslims who are the followers of Islam, and are different sects like sunni, shia etc,they are to follow and governed by muslim laws.

Some times, a person of hindu religion may marry a muslim, or a hindu may marry a christian or a christian may marry a muslim.The marital problems arising among them are governed by the Divorce Act, 1869.
