Whenever a person applies for a credit card or phone connection, it is natural that he is asked for the necessary docs for the verification of the residence.
But over certain things they become very choosy. E.g. the light bill may not have been transferred from the previous owner, or the municipal tax bill may not correct the name correctly.
In such cases, the verification personnel should have more practical approach, like production of the elections commission's I card, or some type of letter from a reputed organization like envelope sent by income tax office.
This really saves the time of both the prospective consumer and the service provider.
