Man watches son die on TV news
LONDON: A father watched helplessly on TV as his son died trapped in a storm-flooded drain. Michael Barnett dashed to the scene after being told his son, also Michael, had got stuck trying to clear it after torrential rain in June.
But the father-of-two told an inquest that police kept him back and said he should either stay in a squad car or go home.
Michael, 28, got his foot trapped trying to clear debris for the second time in 10 days from the drain near the tropical fish firm where he worked in Hull.
Coroner Geoffrey Saul said he died at the scene of hypothermia because of his immersion in cold water.

What a way to die.
This clearly demonstrates that when death is at your door no matter what you are destined to go the way it was planned for you.
