Race to the top

With due apologies to all my fellow Indians on this blog and elsewhere.

There was a ship docked in Chennai harbor. The ship was due to export crabs to various countries and was stocked with crabs from all over the world. Soon the ship was about to set sail. The first mate whose job it was to check all the cans of crabs came running to the captain. He told in bated breath that one of the cartons with the crabs was open and he feared that all the crabs might escape. The captain asked him to lead him to the store room.
When they reached the store, the captain began inspecting all the cartons and came to the one that was open. He took one look at the country of origin of the crabs and told his first mate to relax. The first mate was puzzled. The captain explained to the first mate that the carton that was open was containing crabs from India. If one crab tried to reach the top and escape there were ten more that tried to pull the escaping crab down and in this way not a single crab could escape! It would have been much different if the crabs were from some other country!

Hi Rajgopal

Don't have such a low opinion of your country crabs. You should have said that being very very intelligent they knew how to open the cartons! and as they knew what their fate was they would strike a business deal with the rest of the crabs.

Have a nice Day,
Always,

Apologies!

Apologies to all bloggers and especially from India. I mentioned this even before I wrote that post. It is just like someone cracking a sardar joke. Only in good humor and never from the heart.
I am a die-hard Indian and wear my patriotism on my sleeve and would lay down my life for India's sake. I am a cosmetic surgeon working in Kenya but not a single day passes without my praising my motherland. The strides that India has made makes me proud every living day that I wake up. I am an Indian to the hilt. Sometimes jokes are to be taken lightly. By the way there are many Indians here in Kenya who are an Indian's worst enemy. The place where I work is a tourist place and has lot of Europeans, Americans, Asians living here. The sad fact is that it is only the Indians who cannot tolerate their fellow Indians doing well. I am not sure if it is the same everywhere though.
