IT IN EDUCATION

Computers have brought about a revolution in the education industry too. They are present in classrooms, libraries, laboratories and museums. Even a child of 3 years of age uses them.
For young kids, tutorials of self learning are so interesting that they start doing them before they start going to school. Most important is that all the age groups can use them, from a kid to very senior or old people at their convenient time.
Concept of paperless libraries is spreading very fast. That means even a single printed book is not there in the library. Only compurters are present. Students go there and enter the name of the book they want to read and contents of the book appear on the screen.
Students prepare their project reports, presentations and even the notes on computer. Today, small kids prefer doing their homework on pcs. In USA, most of the universities have the rule that assigments are allowed.
The encyclopedias nowadays come in the form of CDs and very helpul. One doenot need to go and search in the huge and heavy Britannica. Not only this, most of the magazines, journals and newspapers are available in soft copies and also the records of past decades are stored in very less space.
