You know very well that you need a target if you want to learn pistol shooting. It helps you to focus your attention and concentrate effectively to hit the target successfully. When you get adequate training you go to the next stage and now you need not have a target to shoot successfully.
Likewise, we can attain the next stage of spiritual life with proper concentration of our mind. For a beginner it is not so easy to concentrate and therefore in Hinduism they ask you to worship idols. You may focus your attention on the idol and concentrate to seek the supreme power. You may do meditation to improve your concentration quickly.
Once you learn to concentrate, then you need not go to a temple/church/mosque to communicate with God. You will realize the God in you and in all the living and non-living things in the world. You will love them all naturally and you will forgive their mistakes very easily.
When I attain that level in my spiritual life, I will realize God in everything in this universe including my wife . So I will say, “You are my God, Uma” .

I agree with sylvia,
no man can replace god.You can feel god within yourself and all his creations, to do good deeds,as that will stop you from doing anything wrong, but calling anyone god, is wrong. Feeling and calling are totally two different things.

Maybe because I don't worship man made objects. You are right in saying that God is within you and in everything
living and inanimate. They are after all his creation and belong to him including Satan! But we cannot in any manner claim to be God or be his equal. Man may invent or produce even life as in the case of "Dolly" Yet it was created from a part of God's creation. Man can claim to be God the day he is able to snap his fingers in the air (even the air belongs to God!) and create life. So you cannot bestow 'godship' and call anyone God no matter in what spiritual plane you are in.

First of all let me tell you,the almighty is beyond comparision and nothing can be equal to God.
If you have millions of dollars and if that is imagined as the universe(god),if you give me a dollar,now I do have a dollar ,is it not?that's what I mean it here.
If I sometimes feel my wife as mother,it does not mean she is always a mother to me.

Come to your senses. I stick to what I said. You can call your wife mother and that is entirely different. After all she is as good as your mother as well as your children's as she is the one who cares for your needs. My husband calls me Mother all the time, but does not look upon me as a God however exalted I may be to him. He has better sense. I can be replaced at any time as his wife but my children will never be able to replace me, and him as their parents. Yet that does not make me or my husband God to my children even though we have met their every need.
Similarly taking your example, I can give you not one dollar but all my millions and you will be the richer for it but having done so you may look upon me as your benefactor but never can I be a God.

we in India have many strange beliefs and we see Godhead in all human beings but we should also realise that there is a human side too.This is a very unique idea and needs to be taken into consideration with caution or else we may make grevious mistakes like taking a human being a god in all aspects.
