Conversation Practice : Prize Distribution Function

Sister: Are you not going to school today, Sohan?

Sohan: No Sister. We have a holiday today.

Sister: But Why? Why is the school closed
today?

Sohan: Yesterday we had a prize distribution function in the school. Our Principal declared a holiday for today.

Sister: Who was the chief guest of this function?

Sohan: Mrs. Shiela Dixit was our chief guest.

Sister: How was the programme?

Sohan: It was fine. Students sang a patriotic song. Poems were also recited in English. There were also dance, giddha and bhangra. Our Principal read the annual report of the school.

Sister: What was the report ?

Sohan: The report was about the progress of the school.

Sister: Who distributed the prizes to the students.

Sohan: The chief guest distributed the prizes.

Sister: Did you win any prize?

Sohan: Yes, I won a prize for getting first position in my class.

Sister: Very good. I am also giving you a prize.

Sohan: What is that?

Sister: You will get a new bicycle on Sunday.

Sohan: Thank you papa. I am feeling very happy.
