IS astrology a science?
Is astrology a science? This is probably one of the most interesting and controversial subjects to debate on. People are often confused about the subject astrology and cannot decide to recognize it as a science.
In my humble opinion, it is a perfect science, which needs great developments in order to be recognized by all. We need to do a lot of research on the subject and improve the art of predicting the future. If the astrologer can predict the future with greater accuracy people would probably acknowledge it as a science.
What is Astrology? It is a science, which relates to studies about the major planets, their movements and their effects on all living souls on this planet called Earth. According to studies on Astrology, it is known only the planets rule and governs the lives of human beings according to their TIME OF BIRTH. Those who do not believe in Astrology may call it as fate, destiny and luck.
I will not be surprised if a person in this era of high tech will not hesitate to engage in debates in conflict of my views. How does one believe that the planets affect humans on earth? Let me explain with a simple example. Can you feel the heat rays of the supreme planet SUN during the daytime? You will say 'yes', right? Similarly all other planets namely Moon, (In Indian astrology Moon is considered as a planet even though in fact it is not) Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Mercury, Uranus and Pluto do emit rays, which cannot be felt like the sunrays. According to astrology, these planets govern our lives on earth and are responsible for all the good and the bad that happen through out our lives.
Do you know what the planetary position was at the time you were born? Your life is destined according to the time of your birth. If the planets are favorably placed at the time of, your birth you will lead a very happy and peaceful life immaterial of how much talents you possess or how much hard work you put in. People call it luck; the astrologers consider it as the blessings of the planets.
Have you heard of the great Indian ancient astronomers Varahamihira and Arya bhatta? It is surprising to note they were able to give accurate data about the planets even when there were no sophisticated equipments around like telescopes. They could calculate the movements of the planets and other details about the planets with their Inner Vision. NASA after much vigorous research has found that all the data given by the Indian astronomers are true. How could Nostradamaus predict the world’s happenings with considerable accuracy?
You should note that Astrology is recognized and taught as a science subject in some universities of United States of America, which is supposed to be one of the most advanced countries in science and technology.
Therefore, we cannot simply criticize astrology without knowing about the subject. The ancient Indian rishis were able to predict the future with utmost accuracy. In my opinion, Astrology is a perfect science though currently there are no perfect astrologers in this world.

For those who really believe in astrology I think that was a nice post.But sometimes we do wonder whether it is worth believing .I have come accross many who believe only in hard work and nothing else.Which is true from my point of view.If planets influence man's life why is that every time a new dicovery is made everything changes as it happened last time .Last time the astronomers refused to accept Pluto as a planet.Now we have only EIGHT planets not nine !
a matter of preception
Indian Astrology and moders astrology are completely diffetrent where the modern one ( astro logos ) investigates the planets, Indian astrology makes a study depending on the planetary system. they are completely different and we can not compare them. We do compare them due to wrong concepts. visit latest blog " journey towards stars-1" , a series which i started today to weed out the mis-concepts.

I intend to tell it is a science
It is a perfect science but NOW there is no one who is a PERFECT astrologer like Agathiyar,Varahamihirar or Pulipani.It is an ocean and no body can master it now.I will never say to stay idle letting astrology to take care of your life,but I always suggest to work hard let astrology matters come with us side by side.To certain extent we can use astrology to increse our benefits and reduce our losses.
Here's a Little Help
I want to help you out here. Although planets don't emit light, there is evidence that people who are born in the winter and people who are born in the summer do demonstrate certain characteristics because while they are in utero, the amount of sunlight the embryo receives influences its life and personality.
When I was born, it was in August and it was before air conditioning. My mother suffered terribly from the heat. The very fact she suffered influenced my health and more than likely some aspects of my personality. For example.....Leo's are supposed to be outgoing and love attention. Could it be that babies born in the late summer and who are exposed to huge amounts of ultraviolet light develop differently than say a baby born in the winter and who doesn't get as much ultraviolet light?
Winter depression and the lack of ultraviolet light is well known. Perhaps these things do influence us and we develop according to those factors which might coincide with the horoscope.
Astrology: For those who don't believe in truth and practicality
1. You have written "all the other planets also emit rays all the 24 hours a day". Planets are not light emitters they are reflectors. And "supreme planet SUN in the day". Sun is not a planet it is merely a composite of burning gases. How do you make a judgment which one would effect positively?
2. The sentence "influence of Moon on earth on full moon days and on no moon days." It is only a sight difference. And the influence is of gravity. On full moon day gravity is low and on no moon day gravity is high. So, gravitational pressure or pull may be effecting the blood pressure level and blood loss taking place accordingly. And how can the person inside the hospital, under surgery and under no effect of moon light, have differing blood loss levels?
3. A common book or a light bulb also reflect light and emit the light, so, how can it effect, in our present, our future? Also why don,t any astrologer talk about their influence? Even if it is influencing our future what way do you think house hold things be placed?
A lot more things are there but I think that much of it is enough for today.

I never said all planets emit LIGHT rays.Sun is a planet in astrology,so as moon.Can you tell me what are the planets?Dont you know What is the influence of the bulb?It helps you to see clearly everything and that is it.
How to find out a particular planet will harm you or favour you can be understood only by a good astrologer.

Plants never have the power to influence us. I do not agree that in a particular month or period a mentally disturbed person has to face more problems. Behaviour of persons around him not the plants disturb that person more. Would you please let me know about the surgeons who admit that a patient loses more blood while being operated on such days? I do not think any of the doctors think so.
My explanation
On full moon and no moon days moon comes closer to earth.Therefore the forces between the planets increase slightly on those days.I have read articles in which surgeon saying these facts about more blood losses .Do you know astrology is taught as a science subject in USA the most developed country of the world with the strongest economy?All the powerful men of the world (presidents and primeministers and even scientists) consult astrologers.Thanks for the views.

But I still do not agree. Whether the plants come closer or go far away they do not have the power to influence our destiny. A wise and hard working person creats his own destiny. Astrologers can never help us bring luck or bring any kind of change in our destiny. They themselves are not able to change theirs. How can they do it for us? Most of the astrologers are poor and depend on the donations of the people.
If we talk about successful or educated persons it is their wish whether they go to astrologers to get themselves befooled or not. We can not say that whatever they are believing is right. There are many well educated and successful persons who do not believe in astrology or astrologers. What about them? Are they not successful?
Blood lose causes due to physical reasons not because of plantes. Can any astrologer prevent blood lose while surgery? If a doctor expresses his views we can not take it as a fact.
Countries are having their free will and we are not bound to have similar thinking or act according to their thinking pattern.

I only say astrology is science.Only the rishis were masters in the subject before but now no one.So you need not worry much about the predictions of the present astrologers.If you see things still deeper than just gazing onsurface levels I hope you will understand what I mean.I never say just follow astrology and stay idle at home.I myself will never do that even if the best astrologer says Iam destined to be a millioner.

Astrology - Art of Fooling Others
Not only planets but everything in this universe influence human life. But future of millions of persons born under the same influence may be very very different. A wise psychologist can predict better than a learned astrologer.

I am sorry to disagree with you.Do you know no one is born under the same influence of another in this world?It is just like your lines in your palm,no one will be the same as other.That is a deep research in Astrology.If only you are familiar with this science I can explain to you fully.Thanks for your views.
