Is it perfectly safe to give prilocaine to pregnant patients

Methemoglobin has been reported rarely in cases when more then 600mg prilocain dose has been inserted. I am sure no one is going that big a dose in a dental clinic.

Other than that there has been wide studies on it and no adverse reactions has been found.

It is perfectly safe to give prilocaine in pregnant patients 1-5ml of infiltration has no adverse reactions or never reported.

amoxicillin is one of the most safest drugs in pregnancy .u have to keep the dose bds in last trimester to avoid any diarroheal side effect. thats it.it comes in group B safety standards.
u can chk one earlier discussion in this forum 'judicious use of drug'
cloxacillin isnt very diff. from amoxi. it is added these days to cover some additional anaerobes n gram -ves .otherwise its main spectrum n moa is similsr to amoxi.
very safe n comes in agian class B safety standards

read in perio carranza,cohen endo,

i also inquired from md gynae of our hosp before preescription.

i also found a page on net supporting even clindamycin.will forward if found.
