I am not well conversant with poems. But today I was studying my wife's diary when she was used to write some bengali poems twenty years back when she was 11th standard. Few poems are really good and with her permission I am publishing one poem in bengali form using english alphabet. And I shall try to translate the inner meaning of this poem at end.

"Base achi niralaya janalar dhare -----
Kato sato avibyakti ase sumukh ghire
Nijhoom madhanhe, chena kaker dake
Ghugur ektana sur vase fanke fanke;
Khale, bile, charidhare machrangar dal
Jaladhare mounabak ankhi chanchal.
Chaitra sese, pora rode, gajoner dhaki dyay laf
Sandhete sibtalar mathe dyay banti jhap.
Pakurer sakhe ganga sameer dyay uki jhuki
Neeche base achar hate badoler khuki;
Ei sabi dekha jai janalar theke
Taito se more bhai bar bar dake.
Jadi kabhu nij ghare hoye thaki bandi
janalar sathe more hoye jai sandhi -----"

Here the author wants to say about the title WINDOW as such she was sitting solitary beside the window, many more expression of imaginations were gathering in mind viz. at silent noon crows are shouting, the monotonous sound of doves are floating in the air, kingfishers are flying around canal, lake; cranes are standing as like statue beside water area; at the end of spring when a bengali festive GAJON occurs on the sun burnt condition, few devotees used to jump upon the thrown and sharp weapons at the arena of SIBTALA GROUND on evening. The breeze gentle air are flowing among the branches of trees, a little girl is tasting prickles beneath the tree. These all were visible through the window and in this regard window called up the author in several times and to conclude if the author would have confined ever in room then she would definitely make friendship with window for taking the said fervours.
