Life is not a bed of roses, there are thorns lurking......

And these thorns are waiting to poke and test us! Even the luckiest of people do not have a perfectly ordained life, devoid of personal upheavals and tragedies.
How then, does one counter these sensitive phases of life, without allowing them to encroach upon one’s professional life? It is obviously a strenuous task, and some find it almost impossible to concentrate on their career, at the brink of a personal tragedy. However, life moves on, and it is imperative we go with the flow. If so, why refute and stagnate, when you can move on and dictate?
A broken relationship, an argument with the boss or not getting the raise one expected often makes us depressed. However, unless we prove ourselves amidst such circumstances, we can never attain greatness.
After all, if we are happy when everything is hunky-dory, what is the big deal? Proving oneself when things go the wrong way is what is called being gutsy and strong! Here is how you can control your mental agitation during a crisis, at least when at work.
Block your mind:
It works wonders. As you enter your workplace, try to envisage your work for the day, as the piece of cake you have received, from the entire cake. Concentrate on consuming only this piece and blacken out the other emotions that lie in the backdrop. Take up each day as a special project and devote a specific time period for each one---that of a day at work!
Read:
If you are in the process of looking for a job, read different books that can boost your spirit. Attempt to bring out the ambitious you. There are numerous websites on the net, which not only boost your morale, but also divulge tips to obtaining those most coveted jobs. Browse through and you will notice that there is a wide new world awaiting your entry and expertise.
Write it down:
For more focus and clarity, write down the day’s tasks that need to be completed. Jotting this down and ticking each one off, after its completion is a great way to attain satisfaction that you have not let anything deter you from completing your work. The number of struck off phrases is indeed a visual boost!
Mingle with people:
While at work, walk into the next cabin. Mingle and socialize, while working. This helps ward off loneliness and reduces the chances of allowing you to revert towards those emotional pangs. Crack jokes, laugh heartily at what the others say, discuss the latest blockbusters or albums on the block! Another great stress-buster is your staple dosage of gossip! Yes, and there is no need to feel guilty about indulging in it.
When personal life is a shambles, why not go all out and build a successful career? This way, at least one aspect of life shows balance and promise! Therefore, take things positively, vent all the grief and emotional riot. Transform it into sheer ambition and clarity of thought and simply give your career your best shot!
A blossoming and glowing career is a great antidote to your personal woes. After all, when one succeeds, the hardships that one encounters, makes the success shine brighter.

Uma I like your style of writing
Yes of course you get a whole lot of satisfaction in building up a successful career. I worked in a regular job for 20 years. Then circumstances in relation to my health made me give it up. Thats when I converted my hobby into a business and never looked back. It gave me all the challenges and a whole new life. I really did enjoy.
Sylvia your job satisfaction is important
There are times when we feel a bit low in our life. But there is nothing in this world which does not have a solution.Don't you think so?
The point is when and where to change our attitude towards life.
