Why do we want to have friends?

Different people have different definitions of friendship. Similarly answers of my question may differ.
Still everybody wants to have some good friends. Let's explore a few reasons:

1. Friendship for fun

Most people have friendship for fun. Whether it is a boy friend or a girl friend we want friends. Life seems so colorless without them. No shopping is a fun without a friend. No movie is a fun without a friend. When we are not satisfied enough with our friendship in outer world we opt for online opportunities. We take membership of several sites and seek for good friends. A mere friendly chatting is fun of millions.

2. Friendship for business

There are persons who has nothing to do with friendship fun. They value a person according to their business needs. Such friends always have business talks. They may seem very boring to a lot of people. Whenever there is business requirement friendship dies down.

3. Friendship for Power

The most dangerous friendship is friendship for power. In such a friendship the aim is to use other person in the garb of friendship. Your so-called friends are just pawn in the long-term power game. A friend tramples a friend ruthlessly whenever it is necessary to get power.

4. Friendship for emotional fulfillment

Most of the true friendship are based on emotional fulfillment. Both friends need each other to be emotionally stable and confident. They can not live without each other. Such friendship between a male and female often turns into love.

5. Friendship for sex

This friendship is also very common now days. There are friends because they pacify the sex lust of each others. Most of the boys or males make friendship with females only to have sex after some time.
