Malar Marban, the flower vendor,at Villupuram, Tamil Nadu.

It is interesting to narrate this story about Malar Marban. His wife is Kamali. His mother is Poovathal. His children are Mullai,a girl child, aged 2 years and Thamaraiselvan, a boy, aged 5 years.By this time you could have known what they are doing.Yes, your guess is right. He is a flower merchant, having his retail shop at the old bus stand.Though Malar Marban is living in a hut, that too a rental house, it is always pleasant to go nearby or cross his house in the street.I used to regularly go for a walk and come back early in the morning only by crossing his house for the purpose of inhaling the beautiful fragrance of jasmine, rose and other variety of flowers and see the heaps of colourful flowers lying nearby the house and also see his family is working on it.But fate suddenly struck on Malar Marban. One fine morning he was attacked with paralysis and his right hand and the left leg became immobile. The family for a shortwhile lost its income.I also personally felt sorry for the family and rued for the loss of fragrance. But it did not last long. But the family lost its place of retail shop to an anti-social element. But Kamali, the wife of Malar Marban did not get disheartened or dejected. She purchased a big plate made of Bamboo.Had her girl child on the right side and the bamboo plate filled with flower on her left.Wake up early in the morning, attend to her sick husband and mother-in-law and begins her flower selling by 0600 am and returns back to her house only 0700 p.m in the evening.Kamali never gets dull or dejected.Carries on her work always cheerfully and faces the life rather boldly. Her approach to life is practical and according to the given situation.I admire Kamali for her boldness in facing the unexpected challenges in life. That is life.
