Teach this ruthless society a lesson

Now-a-days most of the women are working. Some of the women are working because of financial burden and some are working because of the desire to be independent. Whatever the reason is women have to go through so many problems. They have to manage their personal as well as professional life which is certainly difficult. Their this task becomes tougher when their family members show no interest in understanding their problems and coming forwards for help. They just want them to work as an emotionless machine. A machine which is there to serve them only and has no right to complain even after working continuously for many hours.

Women are expected to feel the pain of others but are advised not to disclose their pain and suffering. If they dare to do so they are criticized for not being capable of fulfilling their responsibilities as daughter, sister, wife, mother, daughter-in-law and so on. Family does not let them go unpunished for letting their emotions come out and disturbing their so called family. In uneducated families they are sometimes physically tortured but in the educated families though they are not physically tortured but do get mental torture. Everybody shows his unsatisfaction towards them for not serving them as a faithful servant. Women feel themselves helpless and confused. They keep thinking what is their fault. Irony is that continues physical and mental torture makes them feel themselves culprit. They accept themselves as slaves who are there to listen to the commands of their masters and work under all circumstances.

Today we talk about educated women, their rights and their freedom but in most of the cases these things are just limited to papers work only. In practical life these are not of much use. Today helping a girl get education is people compulsion as boys prefer educated and working girls. Sending a girl out for work is no sign of advancement in the thinking pattern. People are compelled to do so as they need financial assistance from her to meet their family expenses. Cases where these reasons are not found are rare. I do not say there is no improvement in girls condition or people thinking pattern but still society has to go a long way for assuring girls rights in true sense.

Meanwhile what should women and girls do? Should they wait for change to come? Will society ever understand its duty towards them?

I think this male dominated society can not think selfishlessely about women and girls development so women and girls should themselves fight for their rights. They should not repress their feelings anymore and take every possible to keep themselves free from the chains. It is the time for them to fly like free birds in the sky. So dear women wake up from your slumber and be ready for a new fight which will ensure you freedom.
