Killer cold
A mutated version of a common cold virus has caused the deaths of 10 people over the last 18 months in the United States. Commonly referred to as the Killer cold it has infected at least 140 people in the Untied States with 40 percent of these people needing hospitalization and killing 10 of them.
The Center for Disease control is not publicly saying it is concerned about this virus because according to one CDC official this infection is extremely rare. The CDC apparently has known about this virus since 1955 but has not been widely seen again until now.
Personally I think any disease that hospitalizes 40 percent of its victims should be considered dangerous, but then again I’m not a infectious disease specialist.
I sure hope their right because flu and cold season is just around the corner.
