These R Everywhere !

Wake up early in the morning and you’ll hear the sweet chirping sounds wishing you a great day ahead. These are everywhere: out on the trees besides our houses, our gardens, in forests, grasslands: these feathered creatures are in profuse and sundry. India has an immense range of birds with varied size and colors.

The male bird is often more beautiful and gorgeous than the female; the most visible example being the Peacock having beautiful long feathers. Isn’t that quite contrary to humans?

Just giving a brief account of the various birds found in India on the basis of their color..

THE NATIONAL BIRD
The Peacock needs a first honorable mention as it is the national bird of our country. The male has long, green, shining feathers and can be as long as 230cm. It also has a royal crest on the head. Every seen a peacock dance ? If you are lucky, you will certainly spot the breath taking sight that you would never forget. Beautiful, colorful and graceful the Peacock represents our country in the true spirit.

THE GREENS
The lovely green Parakeets or Parrots have the shrillest voice. Mainly feeding on fruits, they can be easily spotted in the fruit gardens. Another green bird is the charming little -Tailor bird. The leaf birds and green pigeons are the other known green color birds.

THE REDS AND YELLOWS
The stunning Orioles have a yellowish golden color. The Weavers, Sunbirds & Ioras are some other yellow birds. The Red Munia, the Scarlet Minivet aptly define the colour red.

THE PURPLES & BLUES
This category includes the white throated Kingfisher, the Roller bird & the Verditer Flycatcher the very common Purple Moorhen.
